Our story began in 1984, when founder and restaurateur George Hauer first opened the doors to Georges at the Cove. Since then, our restaurant has grown to become a beloved fixture in the San Diego dining scene, consistently earning accolades and recognition locally and nationally.

Under the guidance and culinary philosophy of Chef and partner Trey Foshee, our kitchen team, led by Executive chef Masa Kojima and pastry chef Aly Lyng create a variety of menus that are seasonal, creative, and inspired by the San Diego lifestyle.

At Georges at the Cove, we believe that dining is about more than just great food. It's about creating memorable experiences that celebrate life's special moments and connect us with the people we love.

We keep our team inspired by offering a continual education fund, enabling our management team to develop skills in areas of interest—ranging from wine, spirits, and beer knowledge to stages in some of the world’s best restaurants. If we are not growing, we are moving backward.

Product: Our menus pull from a wide range of inspiration but are always based on using the best ingredients and excellent technique and always keeping in mind where we are. Our food and beverage menus reflect that we are the quintessential Southern California restaurant.

Environment: We are blessed with the best views in Southern California, but we also pay a lot of attention to how you feel when you are with us. Every aspect of the environment is well maintained and thoughtfully chosen.
